A Woman's Role: Embracing our femininity as Christian women

Hello Hello!

I hope you all have had a great week so far! Today, I thought we would delve into a topic that is a little more broad: our role as Christian women and embracing that role. There are a lot of really cool women in the Bible: Ruth, Esther, Mary (the mother of Jesus), Mary and Martha, Mary Magdelene, Rahab, the woman at the well, Sarah, Hannah, Naomi, and many more. God used all of these women in unique and individual ways but He also brought their stories together for His greater purpose. Most of us are taught that being a Proverbs 31 woman is the ideal goal. However, many of us find it daunting, believing that we will never measure up to fully completing this task. But ladies, I'm here to tell you, it's not a task, not like an assignment or test. It's a privilege. It is our gift from God, our role in this life. It's pretty amazing that God has made us all so different but we can trace our roots back to the first woman, Eve. I believe that when God made Eve, He had a plan for all women; a specific part to play in this world. We as women have so much potential and we have things we can do that men can't: we can bear children, we have a motherly instinct even if we don't have children, our bodies are made differently, our brain chemistry is different, etc. We each have amazing paths to follow. God has a plan for each and every one of our lives. There are so many roles we can fill on earth, but our main role is as God's princesses. We are royalty by virtue of the fact that we belong to Him, the King of the world. We can embrace the femininity that He has given us. So, whether you're a teacher, a doctor or nurse, a dentist, a mother, a single woman or married, a lawyer, a volunteer, or whatever you are, you are His daughter, chosen and loved. Be assured that each and every one of us ladies has a special purpose. You are beautiful and you matter!

Love,

Mariah xoxo
