Your body is a temple

Happy Saturday Ladies!

I pray you all are having a fantastic weekend! So this is the second post this week (I know I know unusual haha) but this topic has really been on my heart recently. I feel like one of the things the Church doesn't talk about is weight. I've never been a slim person. I've always been curvy and was kind of a chunky kid but I was never really unhealthy until I graduated from high school. I gained a lot of weight very quickly. I fell into a dark place in a number of ways. I'm going to be honest with you, food has always been a comfort for me. Really whatever I was feeling, food was always there, especially if I was upset. However, recently, I have made the decision of commit to weight loss/being healthy. After years of yo-yo dieting, exercise plans, tears and frustration, I had it! I really want to serve Jesus during this journey. My body is His dwelling place, His temple. He didn't make me or you to be overweight or unhealthy. But, it's not just being overweight that makes you unhealthy. Sometimes, even if you're skinny, you're not healthy. I encourage you to look at how you've been treating your body this coming week. Examine your habits (eating, exercise, sleep, water consumption, etc.) Ask yourself why you've been treating your body the way you have. If you're already living a healthy lifestyle, that's awesome! I'm so proud of you! If not, I encourage you to join me! But, I don't want to force you at all. This has to be a decision you make for yourself. However, if you do want to join me, feel free to email me (i'll put it below). We can be accountability partners and i'll send motivating pics/quotes! Whatever you choose, I pray that your heart will be all the way in it. I know God will give you the strength to persevere and achieve your goals. I'll update you in a couple months on my progress. I love you and I wish you lots healthy fun!

Blessings,

Mariah xoxo
