Eye-opener

Hey ya’ll! We made it through another week. Now the start of a new one! Whoohoo!! For those of you that took a winter intensive this past week, I hope you rested up well this weekend for the official start of the Spring semester this week. A couple of weeks ago, we talked about New Year’s resolutions, well today I just wanted to share my New Semester ones.

As I said in my first post when we started the blog, I am a transfer student and this year is my first year at Liberty. So far, it’s been an eye-opening experience changing from my small-town life where I know basically everyone (or pretend to) to the hustle and bustle of the big city of Lynchburg. I’m going to be honest and say that it took a while for me to adjust since I’m such an introvert or as I say socially awkward. I found myself not getting into a lot of activities because I was scared or nervous, but this semester I have challenged myself to push myself more in this area and try to make more friends than what I did this past semester (Even though two of the best people that I have met so far are co-bloggers with me on this cite).

You see when we push ourselves out of our comfort zones, amazing things happen. When God puts a burning desire on your heart and commands you to do something, most of the time it is not going to be in our safe bubble. Most of the time it’s going to be the scariest thing that we may ever do.

So, I challenge ya’ll today, sometime in these next few months, listen to what God is commanding you to do. It will be scary, you may feel weird, but it will be worth it. Challenge yourself to go outside your comfort zone and be amazed.

Always remember the verse from Jeremiah, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11

Have a blessed week!

XOXO,

Cayce
