Never thirst again

Hello beautiful ladies!
A new semester starts on Monday! (at least for us Liberty girls haha) I know I'm super excited to get this new chapter started!
Today, I thought we would continue our series on God using unlikely women. Let’s delve into the life of the woman at the well. This woman is not named in the Bible. All we know is that she was a Samaritan. If you don’t know anything about her, let me give you a quick summary: Jesus met this lady at, you guessed it, a well. During this time, most women went out during twilight so that it wouldn’t be so hot when they gathered water. However, this woman, decided to go out during the hottest part of the day to get her water. Why, you may ask? Because this woman was something of an outcast. She had had five husbands and the man she was living with at the time was not married to her. And not only that, but when Jesus met her, He asked her for a drink of water which wouldn’t have made sense to her since Jesus was a Jew and Jews and Samaritans didn’t associate with each other. Despite all of this, Jesus had compassion on her. He told her that He could give her Living Water (Himself) so that she would never thirst again. The woman was so overjoyed at this news that she went and told the other Samaritans in her village and many became believers in Christ. Even though this woman’s sins were many, as are all of ours, Jesus chose to single her out, to use her to further God’s kingdom. Many times, we think that because of our sins, Jesus can’t use us. I know I’ve been there. However, Jesus doesn’t look at our sin. He looks at us, at our potential to serve and love Him. There is a quote: “Satan knows are name but calls us by our sin. Jesus knows our sin but calls us by our name.” This is so very true and resounds within me. Let the Savior use you. Let Him give you water today; living water so you will never thirst again.
-M xoxo
