Daily Devo

Hey guys! Happy Monday! I don’t know where y’all are from but I live in Virginia and am currently snowed in. Most of the time I absolutely hate snow days but college has made me treasure every moment spent with family.

So today I am going to go from my three daily devotional books and also talk about my journal. I will also include links to amazon in case if you want to purchase the devotionals.

The first book I am going to sum up is Jesus Calling; the Jesus calling book is a very encouraging book. I enjoy reading this in the morning setting the right set of mind through the day. The books perspective is Jesus talking to you/calling upon you.

The second book Redeemed; this book is created after the Redeemed song by Big Daddy Weave. I just got this book recently. It is set up in small chapters. I enjoy reading this book because it has scripture, a good reading, and quotes that are very uplifting. It is based off of everyday issues that Christians struggle with. I would definitely recommend this one.

The third book is One; This book is a daily devotional. It involves a good reading passage and scripture. The devotion is new to me but so far I love it. I love that it brings God’s word to modern day. I also like that with everything they say it is backed up by scripture.

The last book my journal; Isn’t it the cutest? Love the beach. Anyways in my journal I write my day. I usually do this before bed or after dinner. I explain everything that happened throughout my day: the good things, the troubles, the love, and just what I liked/disliked about the day. I feel this is very effective for me because I can let out my feelings for the day and just enjoy life clearly.

The next thing I am going to do is sum up the devotions for the day from each book. I will also leave scripture. Hope you guys enjoy!

Jesus Calling: No matter the obstacles or trials in life; Never give up. With God’s help you can overcome any obstacle. He has a perfect plan: his timing is perfect. Let God set the place in your life and just enjoy the journey with him in your presence.

One: God provides his wisdom and strength. Having him in our lives will allow him to guide us through life. Sometimes we will make mistakes, but he is and always will be there for us. Let God be the biggest part in your life and just give him the control.
